Good health serves as one of life’s most treasured assets. The choices people make to acquire and maintain their wellbeing represent the extent to which people value the freedom that comes with a healthy life. That passion amplifies even more when it comes to the future of children and families. Reactive health care after someone becomes sick or debilitated costs a fortune in money, time, and emotional turmoil. A major demographic shift continues to evolve individual and family ideology towards proactive health care. People want to invest in health care which improves health, prevents break down, and promotes an overall improvement of function and well-being rather than waiting to treat symptoms after the body begins to face disease and sickness.

Most health insurances focus more on sick care than health care. Sick care kicks in after a sickness, symptom, or disease begins to attack the body. Health care focuses on proactively taking care of the body so that problems, symptoms, or diseases never arrive. Chiropractic falls into both categories depending on your experience or the type of clinic you go to. So which one does science say is better?

Studies continue to show people who utilize Chiropractic care with on-going checkups and adjustments experience better overall health than those who did not. The results of recent research completed in 2018 prove that patients who receive consistent chiropractic care after an initial treatment plan experience greater better quality of life.

Chiropractic care provides the unique ability to proactively restore the body’s health and function while preventing break down by restoring spinal alignment, movement, and nervous system function.

An old adage declares that a healthy person carries a heart full of thousands of goals, dreams, and aspirations, but a person plagued by sickness or disease carries only one. A person’s precious health deserves to be cared for and maintained. People often take major steps of preventative care for automobiles, homes, and even their teeth while overlooking the body’s essential need for spine and nervous system function. General maintenance ensures maximized function. The benefits of Chiropractic extend far beyond back and neck pain relief. Symptoms seemingly unrelated to the spine improve through Chiropractic care due to the spine’s intimate relationship with the central nervous system. One of the great benefits of a Chiropractic plan for health care stems from the body’s ability to resolve pain without the need for drugs and powerful pain killers. Adjustments also improve overall organ and system function to prevent future problems from occurring.

“You were born with everything you need to live a healthy life. Therefore, health is not something you gain, it’s something you must maintain." Dr. Matthew Posa

Chiropractic care creates an environment where the body is free to flourish, heal, and approach the future with healthy resiliency. A plan for lifetime wellness care for the entire family begins with Chiropractic.

It’s great to be back!!! I’m so excited for the direction the clinic is heading and in the next few months massive changes will take place to ensure we provide the best chiropractic in the world. During the march break I was really focused on 2 main things. First, I worked hard in implementing new strategies to help more people understand chiropractic and to move the clinic closer towards my vision of serving more people. Each week I will be doing a 5 minute Facebook live show (click here for link) to answer common questions people have. BUT…I need your help with this one. In the next couple weeks, we will be handing out question forms and I really want your toughest questions about chiropractic and health. I will be answering questions LIVE every Tuesday at Noon. Make sure to watch, comment and share. Second, I wanted to have fun, so my wife and I went to Iceland. What a beautiful country! I highly recommend you visit and cross this place off your bucket list.

While away, I was able to catch up on some reading. In 1910,  D.D. Palmer identified the causes of vertebral subluxation as the Three T’s— thoughts, trauma and toxins. Since that time, we have expanded our understanding of how these factors impact our body’s function, but the basic concepts Palmer laid down for the profession he founded have survived the test of time.

What we understand now is that subluxation is more than a spinal bone out of place and pinching a nerve, as was once thought. A subluxation involves changes throughout the nervous system by changing how the brain perceives the body. In Chiropractic we call this dis-ease. This is why subluxations cause so many different side effects such as: chronic tight muscles, ear aches, headaches, anxiety, heart issues, constipation, infections, sleeplessness, poor development in kids, skin conditions…on and on.

So how do the Three T’s cause subluxation and affect the function of the nervous system as a whole? Let’s start with physical trauma, since most people can resonate with that. It is easy to understand how a vertebra can become misaligned as a result of physical trauma to the spine—forceful birthing procedures that pull and twist a baby’s head to expedite the delivery process, falls endured while learning how to walk, playground injuries, bad posture, increased technology use, car accidents, falls etc. The body will logically try to stabilise this area with muscle splinting, which will heal in this configuration unless something is done to restore integrity to the area. Today, repeated poor health habits and static postural loading cause more subluxation than anything else.

The body can Subluxate's with chemical exposure and emotional stresses. The nervous system perceives these non-physical stressors to be threatening and directs the muscles to react, defend and brace the body, holding bones in positions that can cause asymmetry and imbalance in the spine. No muscle moves a bone without a nerve purposefully telling it to do so. These misalignment's and alterations in spinal curvature are only a result of the internal, neurological response to the overwhelming presence of the Three T’s.

The Adjustment restores BALANCE to the nervous system so your body can FUNCTION, HEAL and REPAIR the way it was designed. Everyone deserves a clear nervous system so they can be the best version of themselves. This is the gift of Chiropractic to the world and this is my God-Given purpose. Please comment, ask questions, share this with others. I will always personally answer any questions you have.

I love you and I’m all in for you 100%.

Be blessed,

Dr. Matt
